Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: February 8, 2026

Code & Ledger LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

We believe the web should be accessible to all. Our goal is to provide a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and hold ourselves to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Code & Ledger is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website:

Navigation & Structure

  • Skip Links: A "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page to bypass repetitive navigation
  • Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML5 semantic elements (header, nav, main, footer, section) to provide clear document structure
  • Heading Hierarchy: Headings are used in a logical order (h1, h2, h3) to help screen reader users navigate content
  • Landmarks: ARIA landmarks are used to identify page regions

Keyboard Accessibility

  • Full Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements can be accessed using only a keyboard
  • Visible Focus Indicators: Clear focus styles show which element is currently selected
  • Logical Tab Order: The tab sequence follows a logical reading order
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Arrow keys can be used to navigate menus and tabs; Escape closes menus

Visual Design

  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Reduced Motion: Animations are reduced or disabled for users who have indicated a preference for reduced motion in their system settings
  • No Color-Only Information: Information is not conveyed by color alone

Forms & Interactive Elements

  • Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels
  • Error Messages: Form validation errors are clearly announced to screen readers
  • ARIA Attributes: Interactive components use appropriate ARIA attributes to communicate state and purpose
  • Focus Management: Focus is managed appropriately when content changes dynamically

Images & Media

  • Alternative Text: Meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
  • SVG Accessibility: Decorative SVG icons are marked with aria-hidden="true"

Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Our website is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Third-Party Content: Some third-party integrations may not be fully accessible. We work with vendors to address these issues where possible.
  • PDF Documents: Some downloadable documents may not be fully accessible. Please contact us if you need an accessible alternative.

  • Subject Line: Accessibility Feedback

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 24 hours and to address reported issues as quickly as possible.

Assessment & Remediation

We assess the accessibility of our website through:

  • Self-evaluation using WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines
  • Automated accessibility testing with pa11y (WCAG2AA standard)
  • Code review for ARIA attributes and semantic HTML
  • Color contrast verification against WCAG requirements

Last automated audit: February 2026 — all pages passed with no errors.

When accessibility issues are identified, we prioritize fixes based on impact to users and work to implement solutions promptly.
